Afternoon Delights

Can what starts out as a bit of afternoon delight between Nadia and Jax turn into something more or will the age difference between an older woman and younger man get in their way?

Excerpt

Nadia let over a week pass before calling Jax. She skated on the edge of client/lawyer fraternization. The problem was she couldn’t wait for her next encounter with him and ignored the little warning voice in her head. She tapped her nails on the desk waiting for the call to go through.
     “Jax Madison.”
His voice, rich as a chocolate whiskey trifle, heated her blood and everything else in her body. Involuntarily, her voice dropped to bedroom husky. “I have a meeting not far from your office. I was hoping we could do lunch.”
“I’m glad you called. I wasn’t sure I’d hear from you again. Let me check my schedule.” There was a pause. “Looks good,” he said.
“Of course I’m calling,” she chided him softly. “We had such a productive meeting last time. How about that little bistro on Commercial Street?” A little French food and a glass of wine would set the mood for what she had in mind.
     “How’s noon?”
“Perfect. See you then.” Nothing like a ‘nooner’ to spice up the afternoon.
Nadia arrived at The Bistro a few minutes early. The gorgeous fall day beckoned, and she wanted an outside table. A few minutes later, Jax arrived. She had forgotten how good looking he was. Dark hair and blue eyes. Had to be Irish blood in him somewhere. She hoped he looked as good without clothes as he did in them.
She stood to greet him, stepping close to shake his hand. He held on, running his thumb over the top of her hand, sending heat straight to her core. If he didn’t watch out, she’d grab him, throw him down on the table and have her way with him.
Instead, she stepped even closer, rose up on tiptoes and whispered into his ear, “Let’s eat. I have a proposition for you.”
